Moving On

We have been in the process the last few months of deciding WHERE and WHEN to relocate our family.

Most of you know that Chris has been spending a lot of time this year on the East Coast, with the Financial World as it is. It has been an amazing opportunity for him to work on Wall Street. He has done well, and has accepted a promotion this past Spring. With that, a relocation option became available.

After looking at our options, we've decided the best place for our family to land is....
Charlotte, North Carolina!! A mere 2,044 miles away...
Home to the Nascar School of Driving, White Water Training Center, and Caroworks (a REAL roller coaster park, yay!) AND...wait for it.....THE BILLY GRAHAM LIBRARY!!!
This is the view of the skyline from a downtown park.

...and a nighttime view.

We're excited for the new adventures we'll have as a family as we explore our new little corner of the world. We hope to make lots of good friends, and plenty of happy memories.

The timing is still up in the air, but Chris will be there next week to check out some areas that we are interested in. And we cleaned and polished and decluttered all weekend to be ready for a Real Estate Agent to come evaluate our property this morning. It makes it all feel...very real.

Lots of work left to do, and lots of decisions to be made, but the wheels are in motion.

We'll keep you posted.

  1. Very exciting! You have a lot of plans to get crackin' on. Don't worry, I'm mapping out an AR visit to break up your 4 day drive. We just happen to be almost exactly in the middle of SLC and Charlotte! How fun would that be?

Oh, and did I mention we have a very nice pool? :)

  9. Maybe one of these summers I'll have to take a cross-country road trip. I can stop and visit my relatives in Texas on the way. I've actually got relatives in North Carolina, too.
